Mechanism of Action: Laferon-PharmBiotek® Nasal provides direct antiviral action. Under the influence of interferon alpha-2b, the reproduction of viruses (influenza, parainfluenza, adenoviruses, rhinoviruses, reoviruses, etc.) in infected cells is inhibited.

Additionally, the drug induces protective factors that prevent the infection of other cells.

The immunomodulatory action of the drug includes the activation of phagocytosis, stimulation of antibody production, and lymphokine formation.

Indications for Use:

  • Treatment and prevention of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and viral-bacterial infections in children and adults (including newborns).
  • Prophylaxis during a high risk of infection (during an epidemic or contact with an individual infected with ARVI).
  • As part of combination therapy for viral eye diseases and various forms of ophthalmic herpes (keratoconjunctivitis, keratouveitis, etc.).

Key Features:

Laferon-PharmBiotek® Nasal is not a ready-to-use solution but a dry powder. Before use, the bottle must be opened and filled with cooled boiled water (for intranasal application) or saline solution (for eye drop preparation). Then, attach the dropper cap provided with the bottle.

Storage Conditions After Preparation:

Store for 2 days at room temperature or 5 days in the refrigerator.
