Miramidez® Ear Drops – Antiseptic with Prolonged Disinfecting Effect
Miramidez® is an antiseptic medication with a prolonged disinfecting effect for the treatment of external or middle otitis (without tympanic membrane perforation) caused by various pathogens.
Mechanism of Action:
Miramidez® targets the main pathogens of external and middle otitis: bacteria and bacterial-fungal associations. The combination of benzyl-dimethyl-[3-(myristoylamino)propyl]ammonium chloride monohydrate and ethyl alcohol allows ethyl alcohol to evaporate and form a film on the surface due to the molecules of the active ingredient. This leads to the penetration of the active ingredient into the pathogen's membrane, resulting in the microorganism's death.
The local reflex action of ethanol provides warming and analgesic effects. Additionally, Miramidez® activates local immunity, which promotes rapid inflammation reduction and tissue healing.
Indications for Use:
Bacterial and fungal, acute and chronic, external or middle non-perforated otitis.
Contraindications:
Individual intolerance to the medication.
Dosage Form:
Alcohol-based solution, 0.1%, bottle 5 ml, No. 1.
Composition:
1 ml of solution contains benzyl-dimethyl-[3-(myristoylamino)propyl]ammonium chloride monohydrate (calculated as anhydrous substance) 1 mg in 70% ethyl alcohol.
