OKOMISTIN® – Medicinal Product
Universal Antiseptic Miramistin for Nose, Eyes, and Ears
OKOMISTIN® is a versatile antiseptic with a broad spectrum of action. It is active against influenza viruses, herpes, acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI), as well as bacteria that frequently complicate common acute respiratory diseases (ARD).
Unlike other antiseptics, Miramistin demonstrates high selectivity in targeting microorganisms as it has minimal effect on human cell membranes, killing harmful agents while sparing healthy cells. This effect is due to the unique structure of human cell membranes (longer lipid radicals that significantly limit the hydrophobic interaction of miramistin with human cells).
OKOMISTIN® exerts a localized anti-infective effect and does not penetrate the systemic bloodstream, making it safe even for children.
